LiM: week 113 Lucky Dip use scallops

Voor de LiM deze wordt er gevraagd om scallops te gebruiken. Ik had al gelijk een idee in mijn hoofd. Aangezien ik een hele leuke scallop punch heb en die nu een keer wil gebruiken, is dit een mooie challenge.



Met pear pizzaza een basis gestempeld van de plantjes. Daarna met garden green er nog een keer overheen. Met de scallop punch de bovenkant uit geponst. Papier op maat gemaakt voor een leuk klein kaartje. Ik wilde eigenlijk geel lint, en na grondig zoeken blijk ik dat ook niet te hebben. Met oranje is het ook erg mooi geworden. Lint in een punt geknipt en dit op het kaartje geplakt. De plantjes opgeplakt. Sentiment had ik gestempeld, maar dat stond niet. Weglaten is soms mooier als toevoegen.

For this weeks LiM challengethey asked to use scallops. I had an idea right away. Because I have a cute scallop punch, but never used it, so this was the perfect oppertunity.

I stamped the base with pear pizzaza. With garden green I stamped over it. With the scallop punch I punched the top of the plants. I trimmed the cardstock so it would be a cute little card. I wanted to use yellow ribbon, but after quite e search, I only found orange. That will do too. Cut the ribbon to the right lenght and glued it on the card. Than I glued the plants on top of that. I did stamp a sentiment, but when I put it on the card, it wasn't right. Leaving things of is sometimes better than adding.

Vlinders / Butterflies

Voor de verjaardag van mijn schoonmoeder heb ik een shakerbox kaart gemaakt. Ze houdt erg van blauw en vlinder. Ideaal om wat nieuwe speeltjes uit te proberen.

Als eerste heb ik met een strook midnight muse cardstock vlinders geembossed. Met versamark heb ik het hogere gedeelte accent gegeven. Op een vierkant stuk wit cardstock heb ik kleine bloemetjes gestempeld. Dit heb ik alleen langs twee randen gedaan, want in het midden komt de strook met de vlinders. Dezelfde kleine bloemetjes heb ik ook langs de onderrand van de kaart gestempeld met Island Indigo.

De strook vlinders in het midden van het vierkant geplakt, zodat de bloemetjes aan de rand nog zichtbaar zijn. Met 3D foamtape een opstaande rand gemaakt, zodat de kraaltjes er niet uit kunnen. Het venster op maat gesneden en de kraaltjes in het bakje gedaan, venster er voor geplakt, en klaar is mijn shakerbox! Nu nog in de kaart plakken. Als venster heb ik een van de Window Frame Colletcion framelit gebruikt. Daar de shakerbox achter geplakt, en de rillijn in de kaart gemaakt. Deze heb ik dubbel gedaan, met dezelfde afstand als dat de shakerbox hoog is. En klaar is de kaart!

For the birthday of my mother in law I made a shakerbox card. She loves blue and butterflies. The ideal combination to try some new toys.

I used e strip of Midnight Muse cardstock to emboss the butterflies. With versamark I highlighted them. On a white square of cardstock I stamped the small flowers on the sides. Only on the sides, because in the middle will come the strip with butterflies. The same flowers I stamped with island indigo on the outside of the card. 

I glued the strip of butterflies on the white cardstock and with 3D foam made a box to place the beads in. I cut the window for the box and glued it on the box were I put the beads in. Shakerbox ready to use! I only needed to glue it in the card. I made the window in the card with one of the framelits from the Window Frames Collection. Shakerbox glued after it and rilled the folding lines. I made two folding lines with the same distance as the shakerbox high is. Finished is the card!

Pasen! (Easter)

Omdat het straks Pasen wordt, hier nog even wat voor mijn dochter. Ze vindt het heerlijk om cupcakes te bakken. En dan het liefst een basisbeslag en dan daar van alles doorheen. Stroopwafels, chocolade, marshmallows en noten.

Door iemand anders kwam ik op dit zeer simpele idee. In de cupcakes kun je prikkertjes steken met wat leuks er op. Alle spullen heb ik daarvoor. Dus ik opzoek naar mooi papier tussen alles wat ik thuis heb liggen. De restjes zijn daar in deze proeffase heel goed voor.

Als eerste een papier met leuke print de basis uit geponst met de Curly Label. Vervolgens met de stempels op een enkelkleurig papier gestempeld en deze uit geponst met een simpele vierkante pons. Met lijm de vierkantjes op de Curly Label geplakt. De prikkertjes op maat gemaakt en daarna deze tussen de twee kanten geplakt.

Om het netjes te doen, heb ik er een geplakt en als mal gebruikt. Een hele simpele leuke versiering voor op de paascupcakes van mijn dochter.

Because it will be Easter very soon, here a nice surprise for my daughter. She loves to make cupcakes. She always makes a basic dough and throws in all kind of things. Stroopwafels, chocolate, marshmallows and nuts.

Because of someone els I came with this simple idea. You can stick some nice cards on cocktail picks in your cupcake. So I went in search of some nice scratches of paper. The leftovers from other projects are ideal for this.

First some basic cardstock with nice print, to punch out the Curly Labels. Than on some basic one colored cardstock, I stamped my Easter theme stamps. With a normal square punch did I punch them out of the paper. I glued the stamped squares on the Curly Labels. I made the coctail picks all the right size and than glued on them between two Curly Labels.

To make them all the same length, I used one as a mall. A simple and easy decoration for my daughter's Easter cupcakes.

Stampin' Up part 1

Mijn goede vriendin is straks jarig. Van haar heb ik voor mijn verjaardag een zeer leuke embossingfolder gekregen. Deze moest natuurlijk ook gebruikt worden. Ook wilde ik gaan heat embossen omdat haar dat leuk lijkt. Helaas kwam dit hier niet aan te pas.

Van A5 wit linnencardstock een dubbele kaart gevouwen. Een gekleurd stuk cardstock even kleiner dan de bovenkant van de kaart gesneden. Ik heb bruin gebruikt. Het potje uit het bruine papier gestanst met de Cuttle Bug (ja, ik weethet, ik zou een Big Shot moeten aanschaffen...) en deze met de wood embossing folden een reliëf gegeven. Plak deze daarna op de voorkant van de kaart.

De volgende stap is het potje op de witte kaart stempelen. In zwart het potje op de kaart gestempeld. Met twee kleuren, twee vlinders in het potje gestempeld. Op het witte kaartkarton heb ik het deksel van het potje in elegant Eggplant gestempeld. Deze met de framelit en de Cuttle bug ook uit gestanst.

Op het witte kaartkarton De tekst gestempeld en ook een derde vlinder in Elegant Eggplant. Met de kleine vierkante pons de vlinder uit geponst en met Word Window de tekst uit geponst. In een paarse cardstock een Curly Label en Modern Ladel geponst. De vlinder op de Curly Label en de tekst op de Modern Label plakken. Deze twee labels met 3D foam op de kaart plakken. Net als de deksel.

 

My dear friend celebrates her birthday very soon. I got for my birthday a nice embossing folder from her. I had to use it to make her card. I wanted to do some heat embossing too, but it didn't work out with this card.

From A5 cardstock I folded a dubble card. A piece of colored cardstuk I used for the front of the card. I used brown. I cut it a little smaller than my card and punched out the bottle with the Cuttle Bug (Yeah I know, I should by a Big Shot..) and than used the wood grain folder to give it some texture. Glue it om the front of the card.

The next stap, stamping the bottle in black on the white card. With two colors I stamped two butterflies in the glass bottle. And on the white cardsock I stamped the lid in Elegant Eggplant and punched it out with the Cuttle Bug.

On the white cardstock I stamped the sentiment and a butterfly. With the square punch and the Word Window. With the Curly Label and the Modern Label I punched purple cardstock. I glued the sentiment and the butterlfy on the purple labels. I stuck both labels with 3D foam on the card after the lid was glued with 3D foam.

18 september 2012, 12 jaar!!

Voor de verjaardag van mijn dochter wilde ik voor de laatste keer wat leuks maken. Aangezien ze dezelfde dobbelstenen-tik heeft als mij, was het leuk om een dobbelsteen te maken. Deze wel 12-kantig, omdat ze 12 werd. En de laatste keer, omdat ze volgend jaar naar de middelbare school gaat.

Eerst een goed voorbeeld vinden en die printen. Dit met goede lijm op een stevig karton plakken. Dit goed laten drogen en uitsnijden. Klaar is je mal om 50x een dobbelsteen mee uit te snijden.. En ja, ik ben gek! Vervolgens alles gerild. Het grootste deel van de vakjes een achtergrond gestempeld. Vervolgens de cijfers gestempeld. Het volgende was het in elkaar zetten van de dobbelstenen. Het hokje met cijfer 12 liet ik open, zodat ik de dobbelsteen nog kon vullen met lekkers. Daar hadden we jellybeans voor gehaald. Omdat er een jongen in de klas zit, die bepaalde dingen niet mag, op een dobbelsteen zijn naam gestempeld. Gaatjes in de vouwranden gemaakt om de dobbels te kunnen sluiten met een lintje. Alle dobbels gevuld, en de lintjes er door. Deze allemaal gestrikt en in een grote mand. Klaar was de traktatie!!



For my daughters birthday I wanted to make something special. Because she has the same weakness for dices, I made 12-sided dices for her twelfth birthday. It will be the last time I make this presents for school, because next year, she wil be going to highschool.

First I looked for a good example for a 12-sided dice. Printed it and glued it on thick cardboard. Let it dry and then cut it out. Ready is your mold to cut out 50 dices.... I know, I'm nuts! Next thing I rilled all the foldinglines. On a lot of sides I stamped a bachtground and after that, the numbers. With tape I put all the dices together while letting the side with 12 open, so I could fill the dice with candy. I got a lot of jellybeans to fill them. Because one of the kids has an allergie against one of the ingredients, I got some other jellybeans he can have and stamped on one dice, his name. I made small holes in the foldingflaps to close with ribbons. I filled all the dices with jellybeans and closed them with a neat knot. Everything in a basket, and ready it is!

Boekpresentatie

Voor mijn moeder heb ik een leuk cadeaudoosje gemaakt om bij een boekpresentatie te geven. Ze was door haar vriendin, die de tekeningen gemaakt heeft, uitgenodigd. Ze wilde niet met lege handen heen, en vond dit een leuke manier. Met googlen was ik een tijdje geleden al iets leuks tegen gekomen. Die tutorial heb ik hiervoor gebruikt.

Eerst papier naar 11" bij 8,5" gesneden. Ik heb het papier daarna vol gestempeld in 2 kleuren inkt met schelpen. De volgende stap was sommige schelpen met lijm de omtrek volgen en daar zand overheen gestrooid. Daarna de lange kant gerild op 2", 5", 7" en 10". Vervolgens de korte kant op 2" en 7". In de kant waar de overslag aan vast zit, daar een ruitje in gesneden. Ruitje uit het folie gesneden en deze op geplakt. Alle overbodige vlakken er af gesneden. Alle in te knippen delen, geknipt. Bij de overslag de hoeken afgerond. De gaatjes in de overslag gemaakt om het mooi te kunnen sluiten met een lintje. Op alle delen die vast geplakt moeten worden, lijm gedaan, en het doosje in elkaar geplakt. Lintje er in gedaan, en klaar is kees!

My mother needed a nice giftbox for a bookpresentation her friend gave. Her friend made the drawings for this book and she didn't want to go empty handed, so came up with this idea. Some while ago I came across this tutoriol in the internet. It was the right thing to make.

First I cut the paper to 11" by 8". I stamped the paper full with two tones of seashells. Some outlines I traced with glue and sprinkled sand over it. After that, I rilled the long side at 2", 5", 7" and 10". The short side at 2" and 7". Next, making a window and glued that. I cut away the pieces I didn't need and cut the pieces appart where they did to be folded on top of each other. I rounded the corners of the closing lid, and made the holes for the ribbon to close the box. Than I glued every piece that needed to be stuck together, and fitted the whole box together. The ribbon through the holes, and box finished!

Verjaardagsdoosje

Voor de verjaardag van het achternichtje, wilde ik een mooie verpakking voor wat geld maken. Aangezien ze al veel spullen heeft, en het liefst geld krijgt om er wat leuks van te kopen, wil ik dat graag leuk verpakken. Voor dit heb ik in de map met leuke kleurtjes gekeken en kwam op deze mooi Topset. Deze op maat gesneden en gestempeld.

Met 2 verschillende kleuren groen, de cadeautjes er op gestempeld. Omdat de inkt zo nat was, en het papier glad, had dit ruim een nacht nodig om te drogen. De volgende ochtend bleek de inkt nog vochtig te wezen, en met een keukenpapiertje heb ik de overtollige inkt er af gedept. De lijnen gerild, de overtollige delen er af geknipt en de in te knippen delen, in geknipt. De opening van het venster gesneden want ik wilde er een shakerbox in verwerken.

Op een crèmekleurig papier een achtergrond voor de box gestempeld. Van knutselrubber de buitenkant van de box gesneden, zodat de kraaltjes niet weg kunnen. Uit zilverkleurig papier, bloemen gestanst en daar een blokje schuimrubber achter geplakt, zodat deze wat hoger komen te liggen. De 2 laagjes rubber op elkaar geplakt, en dit op de ingekleurde achtergrond vast gemaakt. De kraaltjes en de bloemetjes in de box gedaan en het venster er overheen geplakt. Dit achter de uitsnede van het doosje bevestigd. De gaatjes voor het sluitlintje geponst en het doosje in elkaar geplakt. Lintje er in en klaar!

S his secondcousin was celebrating her birthday. But we wanted to give her money, so she could buy herself something nice. I wanted to make a nice giftwrap for it. I looked in my folder for nice colours, and came up with this nice colour Topset. I cut it to the right size and stamped it.

With 2 different colours green, I stamped the presents on it. Because the ink was so wet and the paper to smooth, I needed to let it dry for a night. The next morning, the ink was still wet and with some kitchentowel, I dabbed the ink to remove the ink that was to much. I rilled the lines and cut away the parts that are not needed. Also I cut the folds that needed to be folded on top of each other. I cut out the place were I wanted to make the shakerbox.

On crème coloured paper I stamped the background for the box. From hobbyrubber I cut the frames for the shakerbox so the beads can't get out. I ponsed some flowers from silver coloured paper and put some rubber behind it, so its nicer to see. I glued the two pieces of rubber on top of each other and that on the coloured background. I put the beads and the flowers in the box, before I glued the window on it. The whole box I glued in the windowframe and than I made the holes to close the box with a ribbon. I put glue on al the parts to glue, and put the box together. Ribbon through the holes and finished it is!
