Kerst / Christmas 2013

De kerstkaart van 2013 was hard nadenken. Ik was helemaal niet met kerst bezig, en dan nog wat bedenken bleek een hele opgave. Gelukkig is daar Pinterest. Daar is het idee vandaan.

Als eerste de achtergrond met de houtnerf embossing folder gemaakt. De kerstballen uit gestanst en bestempeld. deze met een aquapainter een voor een in gekleurd. De kerststerren nogmaals gestempeld en de binnenste bloembladeren ingekleurd en uit geknipt. De gaatjes bovenin de kerstballen gemaakt voor het lint. Linten op maat geknipt en geknoopt.

Eerst de kerstballen met lint in elkaar gezet met behulp van dimensionals. Op alle achtergronden vast de tape geplakt om later mee op de basiskaart te kunnen plakken. De kerstballen op de basiskaart geplakt. Het brede lint over het smalle lint geplakt. De sentiments gestempeld en uit geponst. Deze met dimensionals op de kaarten bevestigd en de linten op de achterkant van de achtergrond vast gezet. De kaarten op de basiskaart geplakt en vervolgens alle kaarten schrijven.


The Christmascards for 2013 was a deep thought. I wasn't into Christmas as I used to be so it was hard. Luckily we have Pinterest. That's were I took the idea from.

First I made all the backgrounds with the woodgrain embossing folder. I cut out all the Christmas ornaments and stamped them. Than I stamped the flower again and with help from my aquapainter, I coloured everything. I cut the inner petals and put glue on the Christmas ornaments. With dimensionals I glued the smaller petals on the ornaments. I punched holes for the ribbon in the ornaments. I cut all the ribbon to the right length and tied it to the ornaments and made bows. 

I put someglue on the back of the backgrounds zo when everything is on it, I don't need to make a fuzz about how to put glue on it. I glued the ornaments on the backgrounds and glued the wide ribbon on the backgrounds. Stamped the sentiments and puched them out. Glued them on the backgroud with the ribbon from the ornaments behind it. Than I glued the ribbon from the ornaments on the back from the background and stuck the whole background on the base cards. Then I just needed to write them.

Beterschap / Get well soon

Voor een jongetje van 10 met een gebroken voet, een kaartje gemaakt. Dit was tijdens de judo les gebeurd. Alle kinderen uit de groep hebben hun naam er ook op gezet.

Eerst een leuke afbeelding opgezocht om te laten "duikelen" op de kaart. Deze op het internet gevonden en is dus niet van mij. Afbeelding geprint en deze uitgeknipt. In de basiskaart eerst het venster gemaakt. Het vakje gemaakt om de munt in te laten rollen. Deze met de munt er in opgeplakt en aan de voorkant de afbeelding er opgepakt met 3D foam. Iemand anders een platte banden knoop voor judo laten maken van lint. Het sentiment gestempeld en deze op het lint geplakt.

I made this card for a 10 year old boy with a broken foot. This happend during Judo lessons. All the kids from his class signed the card also. 

First I searched for a nice picture that looks good to "tumble" on the card. I found it on the internet, so it's not my picture. Printed and cut the piture. Than I made the window in the basecard and made the place for the coin to roll. Glued it with the coin between on the card. At the front of the card I glued the picture with some 3D foam. I let someone else tie the belt knot from judo with ribbon. Stamped the sentiment and glued that on the ribbon.

Opdracht... / Assignment...

Weer geen challenge deze keer. Ik had een opdracht gekregen om verhuiskaartjes te maken. Dat was leuk. Dit doe ik met een hele simpele techniek die ik heel graag gebruik. Sponzen.... heerlijk om te doen!

Eerst de buitenkant van een ovaal maskeren. Het ovaal sponzen en dan het masker verwijderen. Vervolgens de afbeelding stempelen. Daarna op blauw cardstock geplakt.

No challenge this time. I'm making cards to tell people that my client is moving to another place. It was nice to do. I do it with my favorite simple technic, sponging.

I first masked the outside of an oval. Sponged the oval and removed the mask. I stamped the image after that. Then I glued it on blue cardstock.

Fusion #19: Pink Power

Ik wist gelijk dat ik vlinders wilde gaan gebruiken bij deze challenge. Dus daar mee gespeeld.

Eerst de banen gemaskerd waar geen vlinders moesten komen op de basiskaart. Daar vlinders gestempeld door elkaar heen. Met het vlinder stempelwiel  de vlinders op het vellum gestempeld. De inkt goed laten drogen en op maat gesneden. De grote vlinder gestempeld en deze op maat gesneden. Sentiment er onder en door met de banners. Deze uitgesneden en alles op de kaart pas gemaakt. Daarna alles achter elkaar geplakt en klaar was mijn kaart.


I knew straight on that I wanted to use butterflies with this challenge. So I played with it.


First I masked off the pieces I didn't want butterflies on the basecard. Than I stamped the butterflies random. With the butterfly stampingwheel I stamped the butterflies on the vellum. Let the ink dry and cut it to the right size. I stamped the big butterfly and cut it out tot hte right size and stamped the sentiment underneath it. Made the small banners and got it all together on the card. Glued everthing on and finished I am.

Less is More Colour Challenge week 140: white on white Christmas

Ik zag de challenge en had gelijk een idee. De tijd om het te maken, was lastiger.

Eerst de bloem gestempeld op vellum. Sentiment gestempeld op whisper white en uit geponst. De bloem deels uitgeknipt en de rest naar de zijkanten toe gescheurd voor het effect.

I saw the challenge and had an idea straight on. The time to make it, was more difficult.

I stamped the flower on vellum and the sentiment on white. Punched out the sentiment and I cut the flower partialy and tore it to the sides for the effect. Glued it all on the card, and finished.

Crazy for CAS challenge #28: Use Hexagones

Voor deze uitdaging met zeshoeken bedacht ik om maar voor een keer in de kaart te stempelen.

Eerst de voorkant van de basiskaart geembost. Daar vakken uitgehaald en het sentiment gestempeld. Deze met een framelit uit gestanst en op de voorkant geplakt. Voor de binnenkant de afbeelding gestempeld en deze goed laten drogen. Ingekleurd met een waterpen en op maat gesneden. Aan de binnenkant van de kaart geplakt en klaar is het.

For this challenge with hexagones I wanted to stamp on the inside of the card.

First I embossed the front of my base card. I cut out some of the hexagones and stamped the sentiment. With help from a framelit I punched it out and glued it on the card. For the inside I stamped the picture and let it dry really well. Then I cooured it with help from my waterpen and cut it to the right size. I glued it on the inside of the card and finished it is!

LiM Challenge week 139 Sketch #10

Voor iemand die al heel jong zijn vrouw is kwijt geraakt, kon ik het niet laten om toch een kaartje te maken. Ze laat hem achter met twee jonge kinderen. De challenge van deze week was daarvoor heel goed te gebruiken.

Als eerst de bamboe gestempeld met licht bruin en daarna er nog een keer overheen met een donkere groen. Deze met ronde pons uit geponst en opgeplakt. Daaromheen een cirkel van gaatjes geprikt en het sentiment gestempeld. Deze met 3D foam op de kaart geplakt.

For someone who lost his wife so young, I had to make a card. She leaves him behind with two young kids. I used this weeks challenge for it. 

First I stamped the bamboo in a light brown. After that the same stamp in darker green. I punched a circle from the stamped image and glued that on the card. I punched small holes in a circle around the stamped image. Stamped the sentiment and glued that on the card with som 3D foam.
