18 september 2012, 12 jaar!!

Voor de verjaardag van mijn dochter wilde ik voor de laatste keer wat leuks maken. Aangezien ze dezelfde dobbelstenen-tik heeft als mij, was het leuk om een dobbelsteen te maken. Deze wel 12-kantig, omdat ze 12 werd. En de laatste keer, omdat ze volgend jaar naar de middelbare school gaat.

Eerst een goed voorbeeld vinden en die printen. Dit met goede lijm op een stevig karton plakken. Dit goed laten drogen en uitsnijden. Klaar is je mal om 50x een dobbelsteen mee uit te snijden.. En ja, ik ben gek! Vervolgens alles gerild. Het grootste deel van de vakjes een achtergrond gestempeld. Vervolgens de cijfers gestempeld. Het volgende was het in elkaar zetten van de dobbelstenen. Het hokje met cijfer 12 liet ik open, zodat ik de dobbelsteen nog kon vullen met lekkers. Daar hadden we jellybeans voor gehaald. Omdat er een jongen in de klas zit, die bepaalde dingen niet mag, op een dobbelsteen zijn naam gestempeld. Gaatjes in de vouwranden gemaakt om de dobbels te kunnen sluiten met een lintje. Alle dobbels gevuld, en de lintjes er door. Deze allemaal gestrikt en in een grote mand. Klaar was de traktatie!!



For my daughters birthday I wanted to make something special. Because she has the same weakness for dices, I made 12-sided dices for her twelfth birthday. It will be the last time I make this presents for school, because next year, she wil be going to highschool.

First I looked for a good example for a 12-sided dice. Printed it and glued it on thick cardboard. Let it dry and then cut it out. Ready is your mold to cut out 50 dices.... I know, I'm nuts! Next thing I rilled all the foldinglines. On a lot of sides I stamped a bachtground and after that, the numbers. With tape I put all the dices together while letting the side with 12 open, so I could fill the dice with candy. I got a lot of jellybeans to fill them. Because one of the kids has an allergie against one of the ingredients, I got some other jellybeans he can have and stamped on one dice, his name. I made small holes in the foldingflaps to close with ribbons. I filled all the dices with jellybeans and closed them with a neat knot. Everything in a basket, and ready it is!

Boekpresentatie

Voor mijn moeder heb ik een leuk cadeaudoosje gemaakt om bij een boekpresentatie te geven. Ze was door haar vriendin, die de tekeningen gemaakt heeft, uitgenodigd. Ze wilde niet met lege handen heen, en vond dit een leuke manier. Met googlen was ik een tijdje geleden al iets leuks tegen gekomen. Die tutorial heb ik hiervoor gebruikt.

Eerst papier naar 11" bij 8,5" gesneden. Ik heb het papier daarna vol gestempeld in 2 kleuren inkt met schelpen. De volgende stap was sommige schelpen met lijm de omtrek volgen en daar zand overheen gestrooid. Daarna de lange kant gerild op 2", 5", 7" en 10". Vervolgens de korte kant op 2" en 7". In de kant waar de overslag aan vast zit, daar een ruitje in gesneden. Ruitje uit het folie gesneden en deze op geplakt. Alle overbodige vlakken er af gesneden. Alle in te knippen delen, geknipt. Bij de overslag de hoeken afgerond. De gaatjes in de overslag gemaakt om het mooi te kunnen sluiten met een lintje. Op alle delen die vast geplakt moeten worden, lijm gedaan, en het doosje in elkaar geplakt. Lintje er in gedaan, en klaar is kees!

My mother needed a nice giftbox for a bookpresentation her friend gave. Her friend made the drawings for this book and she didn't want to go empty handed, so came up with this idea. Some while ago I came across this tutoriol in the internet. It was the right thing to make.

First I cut the paper to 11" by 8". I stamped the paper full with two tones of seashells. Some outlines I traced with glue and sprinkled sand over it. After that, I rilled the long side at 2", 5", 7" and 10". The short side at 2" and 7". Next, making a window and glued that. I cut away the pieces I didn't need and cut the pieces appart where they did to be folded on top of each other. I rounded the corners of the closing lid, and made the holes for the ribbon to close the box. Than I glued every piece that needed to be stuck together, and fitted the whole box together. The ribbon through the holes, and box finished!

Verjaardagsdoosje

Voor de verjaardag van het achternichtje, wilde ik een mooie verpakking voor wat geld maken. Aangezien ze al veel spullen heeft, en het liefst geld krijgt om er wat leuks van te kopen, wil ik dat graag leuk verpakken. Voor dit heb ik in de map met leuke kleurtjes gekeken en kwam op deze mooi Topset. Deze op maat gesneden en gestempeld.

Met 2 verschillende kleuren groen, de cadeautjes er op gestempeld. Omdat de inkt zo nat was, en het papier glad, had dit ruim een nacht nodig om te drogen. De volgende ochtend bleek de inkt nog vochtig te wezen, en met een keukenpapiertje heb ik de overtollige inkt er af gedept. De lijnen gerild, de overtollige delen er af geknipt en de in te knippen delen, in geknipt. De opening van het venster gesneden want ik wilde er een shakerbox in verwerken.

Op een crèmekleurig papier een achtergrond voor de box gestempeld. Van knutselrubber de buitenkant van de box gesneden, zodat de kraaltjes niet weg kunnen. Uit zilverkleurig papier, bloemen gestanst en daar een blokje schuimrubber achter geplakt, zodat deze wat hoger komen te liggen. De 2 laagjes rubber op elkaar geplakt, en dit op de ingekleurde achtergrond vast gemaakt. De kraaltjes en de bloemetjes in de box gedaan en het venster er overheen geplakt. Dit achter de uitsnede van het doosje bevestigd. De gaatjes voor het sluitlintje geponst en het doosje in elkaar geplakt. Lintje er in en klaar!

S his secondcousin was celebrating her birthday. But we wanted to give her money, so she could buy herself something nice. I wanted to make a nice giftwrap for it. I looked in my folder for nice colours, and came up with this nice colour Topset. I cut it to the right size and stamped it.

With 2 different colours green, I stamped the presents on it. Because the ink was so wet and the paper to smooth, I needed to let it dry for a night. The next morning, the ink was still wet and with some kitchentowel, I dabbed the ink to remove the ink that was to much. I rilled the lines and cut away the parts that are not needed. Also I cut the folds that needed to be folded on top of each other. I cut out the place were I wanted to make the shakerbox.

On crème coloured paper I stamped the background for the box. From hobbyrubber I cut the frames for the shakerbox so the beads can't get out. I ponsed some flowers from silver coloured paper and put some rubber behind it, so its nicer to see. I glued the two pieces of rubber on top of each other and that on the coloured background. I put the beads and the flowers in the box, before I glued the window on it. The whole box I glued in the windowframe and than I made the holes to close the box with a ribbon. I put glue on al the parts to glue, and put the box together. Ribbon through the holes and finished it is!

LiM 7: Week 63 One layer Doodling

Het is weer zaterdag, dus tijd voor LiM! Deze keer had ik een tutorila van StampARTic gebruikt voor het kaartje. Hij is in het geheel gemaakt als one layer. Ik ben tevreden over het resultaat, en ga deze zeker vaker maken. Deze week is de challenge one-layer doodling. Dit betekent een laag en met de hand er in inkt wat bij tekenen/schrijven.

Papier op maat gesneden voor het onderste deel. Deze op de juiste maten gerilden vervolgens het sentiment gestempeld. De bloemetjes er omheen gestempeld en de hartjes er van ingekleurd met glitter.

Daarna het kaartje op maat gesneden. Met inktpen de bloemenranken getekend en daarna de bloemetjes gestempeld. Het muisje gestempeld en het geheel laten drogen. Het papier is namelijk heel glad. De hoeken een mooie vorm gegeven. De blaadjes getekend en het muisje in gekleurd. Het truitje met de hand de streepjes gezet. Ook hier de hartjes van de bloemen met glitter gekleurd. Na het drogen, het kaartje aan het onderste deel bevestigd en daarmee het geheel af gemaakt.

Saturday again, time for LiM! This time I used a tutorial from StampARTic to make the card. It's totaly made as a one-layer. The result is great, and I'm sure I'm gone make this card more often. This time the challenge was one-layer doodling. This means one-layer and making something by hand in ink.

First cutting the paper in the right measures for the first step and the card. Than scoring the base and stamping the sentiment on the right spot. Next where the flowers. I stamped them and than filled the hearts with some glitter.

Than I took the card and drew the vines. Stamping the flowers came next with the mouse right after that. Than letting everything dry, because it's glazed paper. I gave the corners a nice figure. I drew the leaves by hand and also the sweater of the mouse. Than colouring the mouse and giving the hearts some glitter too. Fitting the whole together and done!

Doosje...

Een vriendin wilde graag weten hoe een scoreboard werkt. Dus van ellende hebben we maar een doosje gemaakt. Ik had afgelopen weekend een heel mooi cadeaupapiertje gekregen. En deze was heel leuk om als buitenkant te gebruiken. Dus samen papier op maat gesneden. Deze gescored en vervolgens de twee losse delen aan elkaar geplakt. De buitenkant met cadeaupapier beplakt, de brads en het touwtje met knoop bevestigd. Helaas was dit lastig beplakken, en zat er mij te veel verschil in hoogte. Gelukkig viel dit weg te werken met een lintje... Nu nog een label.. Dat was niet eenvoudig. De schaar waarmee ik wilde knippen, gaf het op... :(   Dus maar even inmpoviseren. Uiteindelijk toch gelukt. Ik had nog uitgeponste bloemetjes liggen, en die heb ik ook met brads op bevestigd. Label op geplakt en klaar! Zie hier het resultaat.

A friend wanted to know how a scoreboard worked. So I had to make a gift box. Last weekend I got the most wonderful gift wrap paper. I really needed to use that. So, I cut the paper at the right size and scored it to the right measures. The two parts I glued together. The outside of the box, I wrapped with the paper. I fastened the brads and the twine with button. After finishing, I saw that the paper wasn't glued right, so I covered that with a ribbon. It all still needed a label.... That wasn't easy. The sciccor I wanted to use, gave up. :(   So I had to improvise.. Finally done! I had some punched lowers laying around, and U used brads to fasten the flowers to the label. I glued the label to the box, and finished it is.

LiM 6: Colour: three shades of green.

Dit was een lastige om te maken... Ik had helemaal een idee in mijn hoofd, maar op papier werkte het niet zoals ik bedacht... Na de nodige pogingen is het dan toch gelukt. Voor de verandering eens gekleurd papier gebruikt.

Het is de bedoeling om minstens 3 kleuren groen te gebruiken in je kaart. Dit mogen verschilende inktkleuren wezen, maar ook een kleur die je in verschillende manieren gebruikt, waardoor je verschillende kleuren groen krijgt.

Eerst drie bloemen los van elkaar op het papier gestempel. Deze gemaskerd en de andere twee bloemen er tussen gestempeld. De bloemblaadjes met inkt en kwastje ingekleurd. Een ander groen papiertje door de cuttlebug gehaald met een embossingfolder van bloemetjes. De debossed kant heb ik gebruikt om de bloementjes met een groene inktpen in te kleuren. Het venster uit gesneden en bij de bloemen, alles los geknipt. De achtergrond met 3D foam achter het venster geplakt. Ik had nog de letters liggen. Daar heb ik de randen van langs een groene inktpen gehaald, en deze op de rand geplakt. Klaar is de kaart, in verschillende kleuren groen!

This was a difficult one. I had my idea, but making it, was a lot harder than I thought. After several accounts of trying, it's finally done. I used coloured paper for a change.

The challenge was, to use three different shades of green. It can be three different colours of ink, or one colour used different, so you get 3 different shades of green.

I first stamped three flowers. Than masked them, and stamped two more. I coloured the flower petals with ink and a brush to get lighter tones of green. I used another green paper to emboss it with the cuttlebug. On the de-bossed side, I coloured the flowers with an inkpen. I cut the window out of the paper. U stuck the background behind the window with 3D foam. I had some alphabet lying around, and coloured the sides with an inkpen.  I stuck them on the side of the card and finishing the card of in different shades of green.

Challenge 3: Birthdaycard & Bingo

Ik ben nog niet zo snel met de challenges. Ik moet eerst even denken voor ik wat ga maken. Deze keer was het een verjaardagkaart voor een meisje. Maar er moest ook bingo gespeeld worden.

Ik moest nog een kaartje maken voor een meisje die straks 3 wordt. En aangezien ik op mijn stempels gekregen van een vriendin nog een schaapje zat, moest ik die maar uit proberen. Eerst met distress inkt de achtergrond gesponsd. Vervolgens daar een rood bloemetje overheen gestempeld. De schaapjes en de tag op een ander wit vel gestempeld. De tag het randje van de inkt met een nat kwastje door laten lopen, zodat het randje een kleur kreeg. Schaapjes en tag uit geknipt. Met glitter de wol van de schaapjes gekleurd. De achtergrond op maat gemaakt, en de hoeken af gerond. Het dubbele lint vast geplakt. De tag met brads bevestigd en de schaapjes met 3D foam net boven het lintje geplakt. De achtergrond op de kaart geplakt. En op de hoeken van de achtergrond de pearldrops gedaan. En klaar is kaart!

I'm not so quick with those challenges. I need to think how to make, what I want to make. This time it was a birthday card for a girl. But you had to play bingo too.

I had to make a card for a girl that turns 3 this month. When I got my stamps from a friend, there was a sheep I didn't try. First a sponged the background with distress ink. Than I stamped the red flowers on top of it. On a different white paper, I stamped the tag and the sheep. I cut them out and put some glitter on the wool of the sheep. With a small wet brush I pulled the ink on the edges, so they are a lightly coloured. I cut the background at the right size and rounded the corners. Than fastened the double ribbon around it. With brads I put the tag in place, and after I fastened the background an the card, the sheep got on the card with some 3D foam. On the corners of the background I dropped some liquid pearls and my card is finished!
